Story Structure Explained with a Sharpie

This weekend I recorded a “guest appearance” for my friend, author and librarian Jenny Martin. She’s teaching fifth graders about reading plays as literature, and since I’ve written (and acted in) plays and written novels, too, she thought I could do some compare and contrast.

Here’s a clip were I explain story structure with a Sharpie, a notepad, and a voice that sounds like Gollum. (I’m feeling much better now.)

PS If you would like me to do this type of thing for your class or library, contact me.
