Kong: Skull Island. So much monsters fighting. In a monster movie! Go figure. High quality fight scenes, too. I absolutely mean this as a good thing. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

What I’m digging now: Black-eyed Susans by Julia Heaberlin
I've been wanting a satisfying twisty-thriller for ages. Turns out this one is close to home, set in my home town and written by a fellow north Texan.
Pen, Paper, and Six-Word Stories
"Bullet journal" was coined in 2013, but I've kept an "everything notebook" for years. I don't aspire to any aesthetics other than a grid and straight lines. I don't always follow them, but I like them there. Which probably says a lot about me.
Cereal and the Single Girl
Back when I used to care about things like social media metrics and such, some aggregator of, I don't know, Twitter Divination, alerted me that "Your feed is influential on the topic of breakfast food." Good to know, I guess, considering that I'm a Serious Author.

But I watched North and South, which I figure since I write romantic type stories, should sort of count as work. I mean, I really do love a good, scowly hero in a romance. And… Continue reading Mr. Relevant to my Interests
So. Many. Updates.
Stuff that's going on today and this weekend. In other news, there will be more news.
5 Field Trips
Why five? Because I was going to post this on Friday, so it was supposed to be a "Five on Friday" kind of thing. Only I didn't, and it's Tuesday, and Two on Tuesday is too few (say that five times fast), and Ten on Tuesday is too many. So five it is. #1. DFW… Continue reading 5 Field Trips
Momentary — Independence Day Edition
*Bad science happens* Me: I don't think that can happen. Mom: The ship's so big it has its own gravity. They said so. Me: That doesn't change physics because Jeff Goldblum said it. Mom: *pout* Why do you have to spoil everything with your "science."
